Your role
Are you a strategic right-hand person with strong organizational and analytical skills?
We are looking for an experienced Executive & Management Assistant for our group of companies to support the CEO in operational, administrative, and policy matters.
We are looking for a mature professional who can bring structure to the workplace, independently follow up on cases, and serve as a trusted advisor within a dynamic business environment. Candidates with a background in law, policy, or executive support will feel right at home in this role.
What will you do?
Coordinating and following up on administrative, marketing, and communication tasks
Assisting with campaigns, employer branding, and internal communication
Helping to manage and keep websites, social media, and marketing materials up to date
Preparing and following up on presentations, brochures, documents, and content
Assisting with events, trade shows, and internal projects
Organizing schedules, files, and administrative workflows
Maintaining contact with external partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Providing support to various departments within the group
Who are you?
- You have a master’s-level education and some relevant experience in administration, support, communications, or project support
- You have relevant experience in executive support, management assistance, or a similar position of trust
- A background in law, business management, or administration is a major asset
- You work with the utmost discretion, in an organized and professional manner
- You take a proactive approach and can manage cases independently
- You have strong communication skills and can easily switch between different levels
- You maintain a clear overview, even in complex or sensitive situations
- You speak and write Dutch and French fluently, and preferably English as well
- You have strong digital skills and work efficiently with modern tools and systems

Cycle to Work Day 2026 🚴♂️
On Cycle to Work Day, several Het Veer colleagues chose to leave the car at home and bike to work.
With this action, we are jointly committed to health, exercise and sustainability. Cycling to work is not only good for fitness, but also contributes to lower carbon emissions and a more pleasant living environment.
The day began with a fun photo opportunity where participating colleagues had their bikes photographed together. The enthusiasm and commitment show that small choices can make a big difference.

AI Specialist
Your role
You will be the engine of AI integration: someone who links, explains, supports and inspires. You bring clarity and practical guidance. You show where AI can really save time, streamline processes and strengthen insights.
What will you do?
- You map out where AI can make a difference within different departments.
- You help and motivate colleagues to use AI tools for their specific tasks (HR, administration, marketing, finance, sales, planning, etc.).
- You will develop customized manuals, prompts, workflows and training sessions.
- You test new applications and assess which ones are relevant to The Veer.
- You ensure safe and ethical implementation of AI.
- You make AI understandable, usable, accessible.
- AI evolves quickly, you make sure you are always up to date with new evolutions.
Who are you?
We’re not looking for a professor, we’re looking for a doer-coach:
- You are strong at explaining and guiding.
- You work people-oriented and with patience.
- You think process-wise and keep an overview.
- You are curious and actively follow AI developments.
- You have experience with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, automation platforms such as Make/Zapier, etc.) or have the drive to grow rapidly in this area.

- You are a Commercial Engineering student or are taking an AI-related course at, for example, Howest, VUB or through VAAI – Flemish AI Academy.
